Best Abroad

We are a homewares and stationery wholesaler based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Established in 2014 as Best Abroad, our focus has always been on creating and sourcing considered products for thoughtful retail spaces. Today, our hero brand is Lettuce, a carefully developed collection of stationery and lifestyle goods designed to elevate everyday rituals with simplicity and charm.

Alongside Lettuce, we continue to distribute a select portfolio of respected brands. We are the Australasian distributor of Pallarès Knives and the New Zealand agent for Elm Paper Cards.

As business owners with extensive experience working in retail and alongside independent retailers, we understand the realities of store life margins, merchandising, seasonality, sell-through, and the importance of reliable supply. Our collections are designed with the shop floor in mind, balancing beauty with commercial sensibility.

While we do not currently operate a permanent showroom, we are happy to provide digital catalogues and arrange samples where appropriate.

We are a small, hardworking team led by Nick Hutchinson and Claudia Zinzan, supported by our Sales Manager Emma Silver. We value long-term relationships and thoughtful partnerships, and we look forward to working with you.
